Here a fine example of communal habitat solutions: The Domes at Davis, California. What called my attention is the fact that this project exists since the 1970’s.It was an initiative fron a group of University of California at Davis, California.
This is how they discribe their community:
“The Domes, (AKA Baggins End Innovative Housing), is an on-campus cooperative housing community designed by Ron Swenson. Consisting of 14 polyurethane-insulated fiberglass domes located in the Sustainable Research Area at the western end of Orchard Park, it is home to 26 UCD students.”
In the article you have a slide show with pics of the place as it is right now.
