Making of Colour at the National Gallery (very late)

So the National Gallery in London came up with this fantastic exhibition called : “The magic of Making Colour”. It was in show until 7th of september 2014 but I just stumbled with the pictures shown by the photo gallery of the Gardian.

From the choices of paintings, to the infographics the exhibition made people travel throught the history of colour.

It was designed to show how we perceive and register colour, through a series of experiments that revealed how the eye and the brain respond to colour in unexpected ways.

Most unfortunately I do not have the catalogue but probably will try to get it for this christmass.
